Cyproheptadine belongs to the piperidine class of antihistamines. WebI’m still dealing with urgency and ibs-d symptoms but had debilitating nausea and pain which has poofed away thanks to cyproheptadine. I have my life back! It’s an old type of antihistamine that my dr says they aren’t even really sure how it works for ibs but it works with serotonin uptake. I have a feeling it helps with Mast cell issues.
